Hydrangea Flower Arrangements - Easy DIY Tips for Creating Elegant Hydrangea Arrangements

Here are the things that you will need:
a medium sized fish bowl
cool water
3 to 5 stems of medium sized hydrangeas
foliage and greens
scotch tape
sharp scissors
What you need to do:
  • Fill the fish bowl with clean cool water. Make sure you the bowl is about 3/4 full since your hydrangeas need a lot of water.
  • Create 1/2” grids on the opening of your fishbowl with you scotch tape. These grids will discreetly help to hold your flower arrangement in place.
  • Tuck in the greens for your hydrangea flower arrangements. Choose leaves of different length and texture to create an interesting bed for your hydrangeas. As you add the leaves, make sure you cut the stems at a 45 degree angle. To make sure you create a nice even bed, add your greens by going around the fish bowl.
  • Next, add your hydrangeas. Measure the length of the stem before cutting it to make sure most of it is in water. This will help keep your hydrangeas from dehydration. Cut the stems at a 45 degree angle and place them evenly by going around the fish bowl.
And that’s it! Try to use hydrangeas of various colors for a livelier centerpiece, or stick to one shade for a minimalist and elegant flower arrangement. You may also choose to add other flowers such as roses or carnations or jazz up your fish bowl by adding marbles or garden stones at the floor of your fish bowl.
